1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge of real media products.

Our media project was aiming for the genre of drama/thriller and aiming at a target audience of teenagers - adults
(any younger would not be age appropriate). We have stuck to these rules quite well by creating suspense, tension, a troubled story to make sure that it stays within a drama thriller. But in some ways we have also challenged the convention and have also made it a puzzle throughout the film as there is a lot of the movie going back in time to reflect on the past so this may have twisted the genre a little, but overall i think we have created a piece of film that has mainly stuck to the genre in which it is aiming.

Characters
The main character is a troubled teen being brought up in a troubled background and being brought down by society, whom is also being bullied at school this leads up to the character finally having a enough of all of it and it gets him into trouble. - this is a typical drama styled film as it includes a troubled teen having a hard time and then  something going wrong that will change his life.

Settings
Our setting is mainly in the house where the main character lives, the school where the main character gets bullied a parking lot when the main character kills the bully and also a variety of establishing shots showing how the area is run down and that the character lives in a poor area with perhaps a lot of crime which goes on. - this is also typical for a drama because it adds on tot the effect of the character being brought down by his society because it wouldn't make much of a film if the teenager was rich and lived in a nice area.

Music
The music we have decided to use is mysterious which creates tension throughout the film also we have used music to create suspense in some areas. - this would also be used in a drama/thriller to give us a feel of how the character is feeling or if something is about to happen or music as if the character is being followed from something.
